World Of Warcraft First Aid Leveling Guide
WoW Fishing is a Profession of Extravagance by Sam K. Ward
Fishing is one of the WoW’s secondary professions, together with cooking and first aid, which is considered as one of the most difficult to level up. It was no t until Burning Crusade expansion that fishing was even considered as useful.
However, with the new cooking recipes introduced in BC which gave some amazing raid buffs, fishing consequently became very valuable second profession.
With Wrath of The Lich King Expansion, value of fishing is appreciated even more. There is a completely new achievement system that makes leveling secondary professions very fun, new fishing daily quests and new buff-rich recipes that are further increasing popularity of fishing.
A player who manages to complete all of the achievements in fishing will be awarded with a title “Salty”, which is considered as one of the more difficult ones to earn, and with not many players wearing it. For this title one has to complete a series of fishing achievements, such as The Coin Master and Angler of Stranglethorn, which demands completing various fishing assignments and winning fishing contest held on Sundays in Booty Bay.
One will also have to complete ‘Chasing Marcia’ achievement that consists of completing five daily fishing quests in Dalaran, catching different schools of fish in various zones and many more.
Fishing is not only a very useful, but also a very lucrative profession. Although you can level fishing without cooking, these two professions complement each other very well and you will benefit most of leveling both of them at the same time.
How to earn gold from fishing?
Simply by fishing and selling your catch. There are many zones with very lucrative fish schools where you can fish. Only by selling your raw catch on the AH you may profit considerably.
It will be even more profitable if you have cooking leveled up as well, as you will be able to sell finished food. There are many recipes for food that give stamina, spirit, spell power, attack power, agility, strength, haste, hit and crit buffs.
There are also special recipes for food which hunters can use to buff their pets and also recipes for the fish feasts that can buff the whole raid. The fishes for this feast can be caught throughout Northrend zones and require Northern Spices obtainable through cooking daily quests in Dalaran.
The Fish Feast is an universal raid buff, where every class will get a considerable increase of the specific stat they rely on, as it provides +40 stamina, +80 attack power and + 46 spell power all-in-one buff, lasting for one hour.
Fishing is without any doubt one of the most valuable second professions, which, together with cooking, can provide some great bonuses. Still, many players who start leveling up fishing complain that it goes considerably slower than leveling other secondary professions.
In order to level fishing, a player needs to have an adequate fishing pool equipped, plenty of lures which will serve as a fishing skill increase buff and to choose the zone that suits them best for fishing. Apart from that, just as in the real life, it will require a lot of patience as well.
You will need to cast the pool in the water and wait for the fish to bite. Although it may seem slow, do not give up on it. Be patient until you leveled up your fishing up to certain skill level where you can start doing daily fishing quests. Your leveling will be much easier and more rewarding from that point on.
